From ancient Pranayama to Conscious Connected
Breathwork, the breath is a bridge to expanded
states of awareness.

Conscious Connected Breathwork

Conscious Connected Breathwork involves deep, circular and rhythmic breathing over a set period of time, giving access to heightened and therapeutic states of consciousness. It’s in these states where you can often resolve or start to loosen deeply embedded core issues, and access transformative non-ordinary states of consciousness for self-exploration, awareness, and healing.

Connecting with these heightened levels of consciousness can be conducive to shifting emotional and mental states, as the breath helps to guide us into deeper dimensions of presence and insight. We can also directly activate the vagus nerve, the longest nerve in the body, and a vital part of the autonomic nervous system. This nerve plays a central role in regulating our fight-or-flight response (sympathetic) and helps to transition to a calm, rest-and-digest (parasympathetic) state.

By weaving circular breathing with the 3 Pillars of Breath; Toning, Retentions & Adjustments, we can journey with the breath and free-up energetic blockages, making it easier to let go of the past and move forward with ease.

Breathwork stems from Pranayama, yet the two original schools of Breathwork, Rebirthing and Holotropic, came about in the 1960’s — what has evolved since is a number of Breathwork modalities each using their own technique.

  • Toning

Vocal activations and chakra toning on parts of the body to release energy and activate the vagus nerve.

  • Retentions

Timed inhale and exhale retentions for states of oneness, releasing energy, and unblocking unconscious patterns.

  • Adjustments

Physical adjustments to release and align, and the activation of specific energy points.
